After working on CardiacLife Products’ E-commerce website, they came to us with a Codeigniter-based web application that needed new features implemented and current features improved upon. The implementation of many features appeared clunky and lacked user friendliness. There was also a lack of clear grammar and descriptions for many of the pages tied to organizations.
Careful attention had to be given to the PHP platform used to run the website, which had to be updated in order to stay competitive in the global marketplace. Other areas that needed improvement were the search engine optimization for the website, the lack of ease of use for end clients, and the fact that there was no proper code documentation. Arrangement of content and creation of proper website architecture including strategic calls to action were also needed. Another key to the AEDSafetrack project, was creating a website that was responsive, and therefore mobile and tablet friendly.
